Amazon announces new renewable energy projects

Amazon announced 26 new renewable energy projects across eight countries last week. The wind and solar projects will bring Amazon’s total renewable energy purchases to 6.5 gigawatts (enough to power 1.7M US homes for a year), which the company said makes it the largest corporate buyer of renewable energy in the world.
